Why Hampton Roads SHOULD Be a UASI Region

The Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) program provides grants to metropolitan areas to protect important national and community assets from acts of terrorism.  Despite the location of over 20 military bases in our Region, Hampton Roads is not a designated UASI region and is not receiving funding through this program.
