Welcome to the Planning Department

HRPDC's Regional Planning division provides a forum for the local governments to exchange information and to develop cooperative initiatives that address regional environmental and planning issues and opportunities, as well as state and federal regulations. The Department's staff undertakes technical and policy studies and provides technical assistance to the member localities and others.

Regional planning encompasses general planning activities such as comprehensive planning and ordinance development, solid waste, recreation, coastal resources, and open space planning as well as linkages to state and federal agencies and programs.
