Next week, Thurs. June 3, 2021, the Water Quality Technical Workgroup is welcoming Dr. Joe Tamborski, Assistant Professor in the Ocean & Earth Sciences Department at Old Dominion University. Dr. Tamborski co-authored a recent paper (attached) on the importance of submarine groundwater discharge to local water quality budgets. He will provide some background on the concept of submarine groundwater discharge, discuss some of these findings as they relate to our local water quality, and introduce work he’s pursuing in the region.
