Integrating Coastal Resilience into Local Plans

The HRPDC is excited to offer a short workshop on Integrating Coastal Hazards into Local Plans, Policies, and Ordinances. HRPDC staff will be providing the training as part of a grant from the Virginia Coastal Zone Management Program. The workshop will feature an assessment of the current state of resilience planning in Virginia, examples of successful integration between plans and policies, and discussion of best practices. The Virginia Chapter of the American Planning Association has agreed to sponsor the event for 1.5 AICP CM credits, and we will be seeking certification for ASFPM CEUs for certified floodplain managers. Materials will be sent in advance of the training.
