The new Virginia Housing Alliance invites housing advocates from across the state to gather in Richmond on February 11th, for Housing Day. The event combines training and a visit to the General Assembly to show support for the Housing Trust Fund and other important legislative items that effect housing.
Housing Day is your best opportunity each year to join with other advocates to talk directly to Delegate and Senator about the housing challenges and issues Virginia’s communities and their home districts.
Housing Day activities include training on housing related legislation and issues, talking points and tips for effective communication with legislators, and subsequent meetings with Delegates and Senators. After a morning training session and lunch at Centenary United Methodist Church in Downtown Richmond, attendees head to the Virginia General Assembly to be part of the action first hand.
