Hampton Roads Watershed Roundtable to Discuss Rainwater Harvesting at Next Meeting

The next Hampton Roads Watershed Roundtable will be on June 25th and will take up the topic of rainwater harvesting for indoor and outdoor water use. The speakers’ panel will include Tim Cole, Chief Sustainability Officer, Virginia Beach City Public Schools; Clay Dills, AIA, LEED AP, REFP, Principal Architect, Dills Architects; Cheri Heiner, CBO, Permits and Inspections Administrator, City of Virginia Beach and Susan Douglas, PE, Director of Technical Services, Virginia Department of Health, Office of Drinking Water. Following the speakers’ panel will be a tour of the rainwater harvesting project at College Park Elementary School in Virginia Beach.

The meeting is open to the public, and we encourage anyone who is interested in improving local water quality to attend. Please RSVP to Lisa Hardy, LHardy@hrpdcva.gov, by June 21.
