With Clyde Haulman, HRPDC Chair and City of Williamsburg Mayor, leaving office at the end of June, a new Chair was elected to complete his unexpired term.
Chesapeake City Council Member and HRPDC Vice-Chair, Dr. Ella Ward was elected to complete Haulman’s unexpired term as HRPDC Chair.
James City County Board of Supervisors Chair, Michael Hipple was elected to assume Vice-Chair duties following Dr. Ward’s term.
Both Dr. Ward and Mr. Hipple will take up these new duties beginning July 1, 2016. In keeping with HRPDC by-laws, a slate of officers will be elected at the October 20, 2016 Annual Commission meeting.
