HRPDC Executive Director, Bob Crum was recently appointed to the regional Board of the Directors of the Hampton Roads Chamber of Commerce, as well as to the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance as an ex-officio member.
The Chamber provides leadership in articulating business viewpoints in the public arena and strives to be the region’s primary source of information about business issues. This year, the Chamber worked closely with the HRPDC on our regional initiative to secure increased state funding for K-12 education, as well as other important legislative issues.
The Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance and the Chamber work together to grow the business community, by bringing new businesses to the region, by helping existing businesses to expand, and by working with partners to improve the local workforce. Through these partnerships, Hampton Roads is better positioned to promote regional economic development.
