HRPDC to Discuss Down Payment Assistance Program at Urban League Workshop

Urban League Homebuyer Education AnnouncementThe HRPDC was asked to present the “Come Home to Portsmouth” down payment assistance Program at the upcoming Urban League of Hampton Roads homebuyers’ workshop. The workshop will be held June 4, 2016 at the Churchland Branch of the Portsmouth Public Library from 10:30am-4:30pm.

The HRPDC managed down payment assistance program, “Come Home to Portsmouth,” can provide up to $14,500 toward a down payment on a home. This program is exclusively available for Portsmouth properties.

The workshop is designed to provide first time home buyers with guidance and direction on how to navigate the home buying process. Realtors, lenders, home inspectors and housing counselors will provide short presentations about their respective areas of specialty and answer questions potential homeowners might have.
