The Hampton Roads Housing Consortium (HRHC) announced the winners of its Sixth Annual Members' Housing Awards on September 20, 2012. The HRHC is a voluntary association of governmental, private, and non-profit organizations committed to improving housing opportunities for low and moderate-income households in Hampton Roads. The awards recognize individuals and organizations that have contributed to improving housing conditions for the region. The HRPDC provides staff support to the HRHC.
The winners, as announced by HRHC Chair Wendy A. Hunter are:

The Awards Breakfast will be held on Thursday, October 11, 2012 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at the Chesapeake Conference Center to honor the winners. Virginia Senator Mamie E. Locke will be the keynote speaker.
"The recipients of this year's awards truly exemplify the best that this region has to offer in advocating for safe and affordable housing. It is our honor to spotlight their work at the Sixth Annual Members' Awards Ceremony. The Awards Selection Committee has selected an impressive and inspiring group of organizations, projects, and individuals," said Chairman Wendy Hunter.
