The month’s map is an interactive mapping application designed for local homeowners to easily lookup whether or not their home is in the Chesapeake Bay “buffer” which is the area subject to the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act regulations. An outreach campaign regarding this topic was recently launched and is described in this article.
Visit the map and enter your address to find out whether or not your property is in the Chesapeake Bay buffer. If so, special requirements may need to be met before you can make certain types of yard improvements.
