Map of the Month, September 2020 – Population & Civilian Employment Estimates in Hampton Roads

This month’s map depicts population and civilian employment estimates in the Hampton Roads region for 2019. The estimates are mapped based on the census block group geography. The census block group is the second smallest area in which data is collected by the US Census Bureau. Each census block group on the map contains the estimated population of that area as well as the estimated number of civilian employees (does not include military service members). Click on the map to see the estimated values for both figures.

  4. Greenbrier Retail Area (19,300)

The estimates were developed by Esri Demographics which uses data from the US Census Bureau and other sources to create a model for each current year.
