The Hampton Roads Disability Board is holding another session in its informative symposium series, The Americans With Disabilities Act: For Everyone, Everyday! The next session, Title II, Section B –Transportation, will be held Tuesday, September 30, 2014, 9:00 am -12:00 Noon, in the Regional Board room. The HRDB receives administrative support from the HRPDC.
This symposium will provide an overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as it relates to Title II Section B- Transportation. It will focus on the ADA Requirements for public transportation which includes: Light Rail, Fixed Route, Para-transit, Car Services and Taxis. Training and Technical Assistance Specialist for Easter Seals Project ACTION, will be the featured guest presenter and will be followed by a panel discussion. Invited panelists include: Keith Johnson from Hampton Roads Transit (HRT), Frank Azzalina from HRTI Cabs, and Steven Fields from Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia (SSSEVA).
This FREE informative session is open to everyone, but government and county employees, case managers and social workers, advocates, employers, and mental health professionals are strongly encouraged to attend.
