What’s a floating “mattress” with plants got to do with water quality? Find out for yourself by joining us on October 24th from 10:00 to 12:00 at the Hampton Roads Agricultural Resource and Extension Center in Virginia Beach. Virginia Tech Cooperative Extension staff will discuss their floating wetlands research and Floating Island International will give a presentation on their products and projects. After the discussion we will get outside and see for ourselves what the Extension’s floating wetlands are all about.
This workshop is part of the Hampton Roads Watershed Roundtable, which is open to all citizens, nonprofits, for-profits, local governments, etc. All are welcome to attend! Space is limited. Please RSVP by October 18th to Jenny Tribo, JTribo@hrpdcva.gov.
