TRANSPORTATION PLANNER/ANALYST I – Starting Salary $50,000 - $55,000, DOE/DOQ

The Hampton Roads Transportation Planning Organization (HRTPO) is seeking a candidate for the position of Transportation Planner/Analyst I. This position provides support to the Transportation Programming team at the HRTPO. The main areas of focus for the Programming team include the annual Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP), the Transportation Improvement Program (TIP), and the project selection processes for the Transportation Alternatives (TA) Set-Aside, Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) Improvement program, and the Regional Surface Transportation Program (RSTP). The position requires that the candidate have the ability to perform a variety of tasks and be able to transition smoothly from working independently to a deep level of collaboration on a given project. Qualified candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Coastal Resilience Analyst/Planner – Starting Salary:  $50,000 - $55,000 DOQ/DOE

The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is seeking a candidate for the position of Coastal Resilience Analyst/Planner.  The ideal candidate will have a background in planning or coastal management, with proficiency in geographic information systems and other analytical skills to support the HRPDC Coastal Resiliency Program.  The Coastal Resiliency Program is responsible for identifying and implementing regional priorities for research, analysis and policy development on issues related to sea level rise, floodplain management, and climate adaptation to support local government planning and implementation efforts.  Applicant must be able to analyze complex data and support development and maintenance of geospatial data and web applications on HRGEO.org. Applicant must also be able to evaluate state and federal policies related to climate change and resiliency and support coordination with local government staff around policy development and public outreach.  Requires regular travel to meetings within the Hampton Roads region and occasional travel to other locations within coastal Virginia.  Qualified applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Title VI/Civil Rights Coordinator - Starting Salary $80,000 - $85,000 DOE/DOQ

The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is seeking a candidate for the position of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) & Title VI/Civil Rights Coordinator to develop and implement programs that promote DEI within the HRPDC/HRTPO and communicate and enhance the exchange of information and ideas between all members of the Hampton Roads Region, including the area’s social, economic, racial, and ethnic groups as well as the decision makers involved in each of the HRPDC and HRTPO planning and programming areas. The employee must have the ability to design and write clear communication pieces for a variety of audiences and effectively leverage existing and new communication tools and technology.

Water Resources Planner/Engineer III - Starting Salary $67,000 - $72,000 DOE/DOQ

The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is seeking a candidate for the position of Water Resources Planner or Engineer. This position will provide technical assistance to local governments and work on a variety of projects including tracking changes in state regulations that impact local government’s drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities, developing and implementing regional programs to address regulatory and permit requirements related to these utilities, and identifying research and data analyses that address water resource challenges in the Hampton Roads region.
