GENERAL SERVICES MANAGER – Starting Salary:  $67,000 DOE/DOQ

The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC), a regional planning agency, representing the interests of the 1.7 million residents in the 17 localities of Hampton Roads, is seeking to fill the position of General Services Manager.  This position is responsible for the overall management of the HRPDC’s building facilities, conference rooms, grounds and automotive fleet, and performs general building maintenance and repair duties.  The General Services Manager directs and manages a centralized reprographic production and distribution program for the HRPDC and manages and assists with hospitality functions.  Qualified applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

ECONOMIST/PLANNER/ANALYST – Starting Salary:  Mid-$60’s DOE/DOQ

The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is seeking a candidate for the position of Economist/Planner/Analyst to perform professional work in the collection and analysis of socio-economic data.  This position is responsible for preparing analytical reports and findings to aid decision-makers on issues of regional importance.  The Economist/Planner/Analyst will monitor forecasts of regional population, housing, and economic trends and apply advanced modeling tools and analytical methods to real-world applications in a region with a variety of social, environmental, and economic challenges and opportunities.  Qualified applicants must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

WATER RESOURCES SCIENTIST/ENGINEER – Starting Salary: $62,000 - $72,000, DOQ/DOE.

The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is seeking a candidate for the position of Water Resources Scientist/Engineer.  The successful candidate will provide technical assistance to local governments and work on a variety of projects including tracking changes in state regulations that impact local government’s drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater utilities; developing and implementing regional programs to address regulatory and permit requirements related to these utilities; and identifying research methodologies and proposing studies that address water resource challenges in the Hampton Roads region.
