The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is seeking a candidate for a full-time Administrative Assistant. Applicants must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and be able to perform a variety of complex administrative duties to assist multiple departments and staff. Must have demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products and comprehensive knowledge of standard office practices. High school graduate or equivalent and five years’ experience in related positions with increasingly responsible executive administrative support work. Transportation/GIS Planner - Starting Salary $52,000 - $60,000 DOE/DOQ
The HRTPO is seeking a Transportation/GIS Planner. This position will support a broad range of advanced transportation-related planning and analysis using principles Geographic Information Systems (GIS), equity/multimodal/scenario planning, and data science. As part of the long-range transportation planning team, this position will help develop equitable multimodal transportation solutions for the region through a collaborative stakeholder process.
Candidates should be highly motivated problem-solvers with strong critical thinking and time management skills. This position requires the ability to collaborate well with diverse stakeholders. Excellent communication skills are needed, including the ability to clearly convey and visualize data to technical and non-technical audiences through engaging reports and presentations.

The Hampton Roads Planning District Commission (HRPDC) is seeking a candidate for the position of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) & Title VI/Civil Rights Manager to develop and implement programs that promote DEI within the HRPDC/HRTPO and communicate and enhance the exchange of information and ideas between all members of the Hampton Roads Region, including the area’s social, economic, racial, and ethnic groups as well as the decision makers involved in each of the HRPDC and HRTPO planning and programming areas. The employee must have the ability to design and write clear communication pieces for a variety of audiences and effectively leverage existing and new communication tools and technology.
